~ Pyrex.... the pink Gooseberry mixing bowls...

I recently spoke of my failure to buy those glorious butterprint coffee cups. Yet, I did not walk away empty handed from that estate sale. I picked up another set of the Pyrex pink Gooseberry mixing bowls.

Three of the four are in really decent shape. They were used... but not abused. So the shine is still on them. Welllll three of them.

The next to the smallest bowl, is faded. Still has a decent shine. But the pink is not as bold as on the largest bowl.

But with this set having been lovingly used.... I decided that these will be used in my kitchen too. Where as my other set is minty. So I hoard them in the special place, and kept these down to use...

These set me back five dollars. I might not have came home with those two butterprint coffee cups. But I did manage to make it home with another set of Pyrex pink mixing bowls.

Now be sure to take a peek at the wonderful pink things this weekend at....

$5?! For the whole set?! What a steal, you lucky lady! :)

I had to do a double take and re-read your line about how much you paid. $5?!! For the whole set?! I think you may have beat my record of cheapest Pyrex score ever.

Your mixing bowls are a bargain for sure. Good for you. Looking a bit used is all the better. Now you can use them too. I like the way this is going. Smile.

With it being a legit estate sale. Be hosted by the actual family members... not being handle by an "estate sale/auction house"... the prices were all fair.

There was a table of vintage pre-1960 Fiestaware, that had all the women fighting to get to. I avoided that side of the sale. :)

The lowly little Pyrex stuff was not getting hardly any attention.

I picked up other kitchen things. That I will eventually get to posting about... and some pretty vases too.
