~ Briggs Bathroom fixtures - Lots of pretty here...

There is nothing I love more than a pretty bathroom. I normally look for the vintage Standard Plumbing bathroom advertisements, but these beauties from Briggs Beautyware are wonderful. The bathroom above, is from a 1954 Briggs campaign.

As with the ad I came across for those feed sacks... the advertisement above was intended for the commercial buyers. The hardware store buyers and such. Touting the fine quality workmanship that went into the construction of the Briggs Beautyware.

And to be honest.... because these Briggs bathroom fixtures were top quality .... many of them survive to this day. To be found and used in renovations.

I have notice that Briggs must have loved their blue - green tubs. Most of these advertisements I came across highlighted them showed off those blue - green fixtures.

But you know how I feel about pink.... so here is the pink Briggs Beautyware bathroom collection from 1956.

I wish these were on the market now... for purchase. I love a pink bathroom!

I recently came across an advert for my apartment building when they were new from the 1960's Time magazine with Jackie Onasis on the cover. They said that the bathrooms were spacious... they are the size of a door.

All these bathrooms seem so large & all the homes I've been in that are from the 50's or '60s have small bathrooms.

I have notice the same thing! The tiny bathrooms in those mid century apts./homes.

Even in the older larger homes (over 2000 sq ft.) they have same problem. Tiny tight bathrooms.

I have that exact pink Briggs tub and toilet. I also have a pink sink, but I think it's American Standard. I would sell 785-452-1466.
