~ Flower head... the potholder...

I have bought all kinds of vintage potholders over the years.  But this is the first one I have found with a flower head, with a baby face on it. It is sightly disturbing... yet oddly fascinating to me at the same time.   And I loved the use of the red and turquoise threads on it too.

It was a gift to my Mother for Mother's Day. I have meant to get a better picture of it to post. But I have given up on that.

Now for a minor update... I had posted about this set of spectacular EKCO red utensil set, a couple weeks ago.... they were listed for sale on eBay.

I went back and looked to see if they found a new home. And they sold for $172.50!

Be sure to visit ~Rednesday this week...

Sweet potholder Wow, what a sale! Most vintage kitchen utensils are priced way out of my budget for awhile, well...since they got "hot"!

I watched those utensils, too. They didn't sell the first time and then went high. They would of been nice to have but I think they were the darker red and I like the lighter red.

Your pot holder is so much fun and you cracked me up with the slightly disturbing and oddly fascinating!

Gosh! It's amazing what prices can be - those appear to be mint with original tags on them? Wonder what the back story is on them - found in someone's home or in a warehouse? Fun!

Happy Rednesday!

I really do love the weird kitchen stuff. And that baby face flower head... was amazing to me on so many levels.

And my Mother loves vintage red pot holders... so it was a perfect present for her.
