~ Anchor Hocking - Fire King.... the newer Jadeite glassware... Reproductions ...

I have once spoke about wanting a certain Fire King jadeite batter bowl. One that keeps eluding me.  My Mother has been keeping an eye out for me. She had located a white Fire King batter bowl for me.... but neither one of us had came across a older jadeite one to buy. In person.

Until recently. And Mother found a newer issued jadeite bowl... and it is now all mine

Oh.... my.... goodness! It is just what I needed. A new piece of jadeite to perk me up!

I want to say that these newer issued, reproduction Jadeite from Anchor Hocking, were findable in a local department store... Dillard's. Then of all places... Cracker Barrel. It seems like they had different pieces of it in their stores. It has been too long ago (decade or so) since these batter bowls were manufactured and sold. But the newer pieces pop up at the antique malls occasionally.

And it looks sweet with my vintage white Fire King batter bowl....

The green batter bowl is much bigger than the older white Fire King batter bowl of mine. I am assuming this was done on purpose. To help stopped the newer stuff being passed off as vintage. (Here is a great site that has lots of pictures and info about the reproductions.)

The neat thing with the newer Jadeite bowl, is I can see a swirl in the glass inside the bowl...

Yet, my favorite thing about this new addition to the kitchenware collection.... is that it looks heavenly with my older Fire King mixing bowls.

As you can see here...  I am still loving those crazy pink and green plaid towels from Dollar General!

Be sure to check out all the great thing this week at....

I did not know that they had done a reproduction of them. Great to know!

The reproductions that were issued by Anchor Hocking are incredible.

Then Martha Stewart did a line of Jadeite that was wonderful too.

But this was years ago. And I had not seen anymore items from Anchor Hocking since then... back in the early 2000's.
