~ Vintage Hostess Fun.... Cheese Pixies... and those weirdo tiny forks!

This was a good week for me finding pink things for my kitchen.... starting with these fascinating "Cheese Pixies".

Long ago... when being a Hostess of your own dinner parties were a near weekly thing... a girl had to keep some delightful things stashed in her cabinets for Hors D'oeuvres.  In order to set a great table, a girl needed something bold and fun for the table. So I offer "Cheese Pixies"!

And I purchased these wonderful vintage mouse pickers at a local garage sale.

Along with the Cheese Pixies... I also picked up what has to be the most common Hostess item I have ever seen.... the tiny forks!

Seriously..... I have seen oodles of these still mint in their boxes. Thank goodness they have always been in pretty colors.

Since I was taking pictures of spectacular items that a Hostess would use to dazzle her guest with.... I brought these back out.

I just can not stop myself from buying the odd stuff. I love all of it.

I did use one of my vintage aprons under these precious little mice... that I wrote about here...

Be sure to check out all the incredible
pink things

Farm Girl, that is what my daughter now calls herself after having left the city to live on a farm. Where in Texas are you?

Those pixies are so cute. I do not recall ever seeing them. I was born and raised on a farm and did not know what store bought things were until I got into high school. I know all about farm life back in the old days. It is a little different now tho.

So cute, I can't resist those little cocktail forks myself. The cheese pixies are especially cute, and never thought those floating candles were a vintage thing!

Hi Lulu!

I live in far north Texas... directly north of Dallas.

Where the thrift stores are highly picked over!

LOL!

I have a couple of sets of the forks and spoons and they did come in the original boxes. I love them and am so happy that the colors are pretty.
