So sassy! This is a wonderful vintage apron... with an embroidery girl in profile on the front. There is nothing I don't like about this apron. I found her packed up with my stack of aprons that came home with me from my Grandmother's. These were either made by her own Mother or Grandmother.
What an amazing floral print used for this apron. Lots of pale pink and orange!
I didn't realize that I had not gotten a decent picture of the face. She has a blue eye... and her finger tips are done with red. Which seems kinda of scandalous for a belle. So with that thought... lets take a peek up her skirt!
The skirt on this belle is wide and full... and sweeps across her legs. And for the age of this apron the black thread has really held up. I rarely get lucky and have the black thread still in good shape on these old linens. It is the first color thread to rot normally.
I really could not capture all the detail that went into this apron. The trim all the way around is puckered. And the material maintains a nice crisp feeling. So I am assuming it has not made many trips through the washer. Even the vintage lace remains fully intact.
So here is one last look at this wonderful apron. I have a few more of these hand me down aprons to show off, that I found with this one. Just need to find the time to get the pictures and posts done.
