~ Pink Linens.... the Kitten pot holder...

I finally manage to wash this pot holder and get it photograph. This is another one that my grandmother had made for me. I use this one all the time in my kitchen. I am thinking she is about twelve years old now. So even with weekly use... and going through the washer and dryer... this little pot holder has held up.
My grandmother was well into her 90's when she was making me these items. And was using older cotton material and embroidery thread. The woman had a sewing room packed to the rafters with vintage materials. So all the things she made for me has been done with true cotton blends. None of that bizarre cotton/poly stuff that I dislike.

Speaking of real cotton... I did pick up these pink striped napkins. So pretty!
I love that they are a good weight and 100% cotton.
And here is one last peek at my kitten pot holder....

Be sure to check out all the pink goodness at....

I have a few treasures from my grandmother. She had so little, and what she bought came from the grocery store. No matter, they are the best gfts I will ever have. Yours is definitely a keeper.

My grandmother did not retire, till she was in her 80's. She was bored... and honestly, that is how I ended up with these embroidery items. She never did any of it till she stopped working.

But her Mother and grandmother had been very active with the crafty things... so I ended up with some really nice things. That my Grandmother had packed up decades earlier.
