~ Pink Roses... I can't help myself...

I have decided that pink roses on any linen... will sell. It has to be the biggest seller for any linen line. To just have a whole collection of linens decorated with glorious pink roses.
This is a wonderful vintage white linen table cloth covered in pink roses. It is a smaller cloth that is basically 4ft. x 4ft. A nice square cloth. With no stains! But it does have a small hole towards one of the edges. At least it is not in the center of it.
But as I shop looking for odds and ends in the antique malls... no one ever prices their linens with pink roses reasonably. They tend to be grossly over priced.

I have been keeping my eye on a certain table cloth in the same booth, for well over 2 years now. Priced at $55.00 dollars. I always wonder how sellers can survive, without turning over their inventory. No matter how pretty that table cloth may be... it is not fifty five dollars pretty....

Speaking of linens with pink roses....

I was looking for my lilac colored quilt, that I stored at one point in a box. Which I never did locate. But I did come across my favorite set of drapes. The ones I just can not part with.
I love these drapes. They are Mario Buatta chintz drapes, that I bought sometime in the mid 1990's.

I originally purchased them for my living room, in my old townhome. They were hung to compliment a wonderful fireplace I had in that home. A fireplace I never lit. Ever.  I loved the look of that fireplace.... but hate the mess. Plus I was not about to let one damage these gorgeous drapes!  With its nasty smoke....
Later I moved and then utilized them in my bedroom. I had bought two different bed spreads... in solid colors. One in pale pink... one in a jadeite green. And swapped them out for a good 5 years. Then I took the drapes down. And packed them up.
But they are soooo pretty to me. That I am thinking about hunting down those bedspreads and putting these drapes up again. Since I will never be able to get rid of them. Because I have an unhealthy love of linens with pink roses.

Oddly, I have not seen Mario Buatta with a home goods line out, since then. It was a full collection with sheets, comforter's and such. But I know he is still very active in the home decorating business. He had some lovely items in that line.. that these drapes were part of... and I love to see some more from him.

Be sure to check out all the wonderful pink goodness at....

I totally agree with you on the pricing of some of these "shabby chic" rosy items... oh, but I LOVE the curtains you've shared! Mixing and matching patterns is such fun with these linens - I also like to cut apart pieces I can buy for cheap that have damage - that way,I salvage the good stuff to use in other projects. Thanks for sharing you fun pinks! :)
