Vintage Quilts.... Children size...

So I finally had a minute to myself, to take a few pictures, of things that have been stacking up.

I recently purchased this adorable child's size quilt. It is just delightful in theme. I love these kids.
Whomever had did the original needle work for this quilt, put in ton of time on tiny little stitching for each one of the children. It is amazing to me to look at all the detail.
Just look at those faces of the kids!
Then there are the tiny details of the pictures above the brunette girls head...
I love that chicken!

Then the tiny flowers on the clock....
And the table by the stairs...
There is so much to take in while looking at this wonderful quilt...
Best of all... I found this quilt at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift store in Dallas. This is not a thrift store for finding good vintages things in... so I rarely stop when I am over that far into Dallas. But I am glad I did do the random stop there this week.
I did purchase this vintage quilt for my Mother... for Mother's Day. She has a slight obsession for vintage quilts. And loves it when she gets a children's size one to add to the collection.  And I am leaving up to her to be the one to wash it. :)  She seems to have the knowledge to clean these vintage cotton quilts without them falling apart on her...

Be sure to check out all the great finds @ Her Library Adventures....

Beautiful! I love vintage baby crib quilts, the ones from this era are so charming! I also adore the early ones (from the 19th century) Thanks for sharing!
